Natuurplaats Noordsche Veld

Natuurplaats Noordsche Veld brings a café and information pavilion together beside the woodland, heath and stream valley landscapes near Norg. It is a place to combine something to eat with discovering the surrounding countryside, with regional produce forming part of the food offer. The pavilion also introduces the area's archaeology, including burial mounds and ancient field systems.

Coffee, fresh tea, cakes, biscuits and ice cream provide options for a short stop. The lunch menu includes homemade soups, filled rolls, toasted sandwiches and snacks to accompany drinks. Children have dishes of their own. A distinctive house arrangement is the Drenttea, a high tea built around sweet and savoury regional products, bringing the connection with Drenthe onto the table.

The indoor space accommodates approximately sixty people, and a large outdoor terrace gives groups another place to gather. The team arranges business meetings, birthdays, children's parties, family days and weddings, with activities available to accompany the food. Possibilities include a guided walk, a covered wagon outing or a puzzle route, arranged according to the group's wishes.

For independent visitors, walking information is available at the pavilion. A purple route covers six kilometres and a yellow route thirteen kilometres. Families can explore the Donderpad using an activity booklet, with a different treasure hunt for each season. These links between food, play and the landscape make the café a useful base for a countryside outing, whether the main purpose is lunch, a walk or time together outdoors.
